This IBIS type of ID systems allows even a bullet to scan with a machine called IBIS Trax. This machine presents a 2D image of the bullet case and produces the 3D image within the Identification System. If there are any signs of hit then the judgment is verified physically by the officer in-charge.
The National IBIS system is divided amongst sixteen regions and is located physically in 222 cities. This has allowed law enforcement agencies to have communications via one system without losing proof. This in turn helps them to solve the cases in a much better way. The Integrated Ballistic ID Systems is a great benefit to the law enforcement agencies. Various other law enforcement agencies are trying to get this type of ID systems installed.
